LG introduces energy-recovery ventilation

Energy recovery ventilation that can integrate with air conditioning — LG’s Eco V units are available in four sizes.

LG’s Eco V energy-recovery ventilation units are designed to save energy in air-conditioned buildings and dramatically improve indoor air quality. A washable particle filter can trap particles smaller than tobacco smoke. Four units provide air-handling capacities from 500 to 2000 m3/h. The use of external static pressure control and phased control of the motor enables commissioning time to be much reduced and gives greater flexibility in ductwork installation. When outdoor conditions permit, Eco V can reduce the overall load on an air-conditioning system. Its heat exchanger can transfer both sensible and latent heat, increasing its efficiency three-fold compared with transferring only sensible heat. Sound levels are low, and air volume and external static pressure can be set for each application in 255 stages using a wired remote controller. Operation is automatic, with ventilation mode changed according to the operating status of the air conditioning, so that a constant indoor air temperature is maintained. An Eco V unit can be controlled individually or integrated with an air-conditioning or heating system. A unit can be integrated with any existing LG multi-split air-conditioning system. Control options include a wired remote controller or a central hard-wired controller that can serve up to 16 units.
