Protection against surges in risers with booster sets is provided by this valve from Grundfos.
A device that will automatically protect building risers from destructive surges and water hammer is available from Grundfos. It is recommended that the AnTi-Shock surge-anticipation valve should be installed at the top of each riser as standard with all booster sets. These valves have a T outlet to offer protection to the booster set and the system against surges that can be experienced in pressurised systems when power is lost and subsequently restored.
