Weatherite upgrades heating systems for Aston University buildings

The latest in a succession of work carried out by Weatherite for Aston University includes a major upgrade of heating systems in several buildings.
Weatherite Building Services has carried out a major upgrade of the heating systems in several buildings at Aston University in Birmingham under a contract worth over £53 000. The work was carried out as part of the university’s general refurbishment programme. Weatherite supplied and installed a new door heater, panels and water heaters for the new main entrance hall. Ventilation and heating systems serving four lecture rooms were also modified. Other work included the installation of new gas mains to five floors serving laboratories and some lab benches, including a live break in to the university’s gas main. The work had to be carried out to a tight deadline and within a limited budget, with minimum disruption to the normal operation of the university. It followed the installation of new air conditioning system in the audiology department in the Vision Sciences building and is the latest of many projects Weatherite has carried out on the campus.
