Eaton Electrical launches specialist electrical services

Eaton Electrical has launched a specialist electrical division offering services from simple maintenance contracts to complete turnkey installation of electrical distribution.
A wide range of services for low-voltage and high-voltage electrical distribution systems up to 132 kV is provided by the specialist electrical services division of Eaton Electrical. Services range from simple maintenance to complete turnkey installation and include protection studies, system design and installation, commissioning of capital equipment, sub-station and system reinforcement and customer training. The formation of this division builds on the reputation and expertise of Eaton MEM and Eaton Cutler-Hammer in project management of major low-voltage distribution system installations. They include multi-million contracts in Canary Wharf and current work on Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. Training can be provided for a customer’s staff , including safety courses for authorised persons and senior authorised persons. The division’s capabilities include the design and project management of distribution networks; supply and installation of HV switchgear and transformers; operation, maintenance and repair of switchgear and transformers; testing of protective relays; and locating and repairing faults in cables. The company has a fleet of vehicles carrying equipment for locating faults in cables. Thermal-imaging equipment is also available for predictive maintenance. Independent fault reporting and installation ‘snagging’ services can also be provided.
