SES help complete new South Stand at Twickenham

Twickenham
SES has completed the installation of M&E services for the new South Stand at Twickenham, which brings the stadium’s capacity up to 82 000. The contract involved the design, supply, installation and testing of the complete mechanical, public-health and electrical infrastructure. It included three new gas-fired boilers, three air-handling units, eight cold-water storage tanks and a fully integrated Trend BMS for the new CP&I plant — one of 21 plant rooms in the new stand. Paul Todd, project manager for SES, says, ‘For a rugby fan, working at Twickenham Rugby Stadium can only be described as an idyllic place to work. Being on the top tier of the new South Stand looking down on the pitch, you can imaging the 82 000-strong crowd roar when England take to the field against their rivals.
