North enhances its ObSys integration platform

North Building Technologies has released a new version of its integration platform ObSys (Object Systems). The previous version sold over 10 000 copies. ObSys 2.0 has been developed with time on site and ease of engineering in mind, and North says that engineering’s its system is an order of magnitude easier and faster than those of its competitors. ObSys 2.0 has a powerful graphical Web server built in, along with audio scanning of attached equipment, powerful cause-and-effect strategy, alarm handling, data logging and targeting. There is support for over 250 protocols, including XML, SOAP, SNMP, BACnet/IP, LON, M-Bus Modbus and proprietary protocols to talk to VRF systems, HVAC controls, CCTV, security, door access, power monitoring, UPS and energy targeting.
