Daikin links up with London college to train engineers

Daikin UK’s managing director Shogo Ando and the principal of the college of North West London Vicki Fagg sign a memorandum of understanding that will see Daikin providing the latest equipment to help train new engineers.
Engineers entering the HVAC industry are being given the opportunity to develop new skills and expertise by a joint initiative between Daikin UK and the College for North West London. Daikin is offering the latest equipment, advanced trading, awards a job opportunities. The college is providing initial training, specialist short courses and other programmes — as well as ongoing collaboration between the two organisations. Daikin already runs its own training courses for experienced engineers, and this initiative for new engineers will help ensure high-quality service at all levels of the industry. The college is soon to open a new technology block with a complete floor dedicated to air conditioning and refrigeration. Daikin will provide 30 of the latest heat-pump systems to enable the college to offer training on the latest products. There are also plans for training for heating engineers to service and maintain Daikin’s latest energy-efficient renewable-energy heat pumps.
