Merlin Power Management offers fixed-wire testing

Merlin Power Management

Merlin Power Management has expanded its range of services with the introduction of fixed-wire testing. The service covers the entire electrical infrastructure of a building — including cabling, LV and HV switchgear and UPS.

Also known as periodic testing, fixed-wire testing is required under the Electricity at Work Regulations of 1989. It can reveal a great deal of information about the condition of the wiring, safety systems and developing faults.

After testing, a full report is produced on the condition of the installation. The report includes a schematic diagram of the low-voltage distribution system, with details of any remedial action required and the urgency of the work.
