Buderus offers sophisticated boiler-control system

Versatile control options from Buderus are available for its GB162 and GB312 boiler ranges

The latest modular control system from Buderus is the RC35, which offers comprehensive functionality for all major areas of commercial heating systems when used with a wall-hung GB162 or floor-standing GB132 boiler.

They have a back-lit menu with full-text display, rather than diagnostic codes. There is also a set-up sequence for quick and simple installation.

At its most basic, the RC35 can control a single unmixed heating circuit with DHW control. This functionality can be considerably extended with several other Buderus modules, which are wired into the colour-coded connections on the GB162 or GB312 boiler.

The WM10 low-loss header module, for example, can control one unmixed heating circuit and regulate temperature in the low-loss header to maximise system efficiency.

The MM10 module enables three more circuits to be controlled. The SM10 solar-circuit module fully controls a solar thermal system for preheating domestic hot water and ensures that the boiler fires only when solar-heated water is not available.

The RC35 also has several weather-compensation functions that can be individually programmed for each heating circuit.

Other features include a disinfection program to prevent legionella and a screed-drying programme for underfloor heating systems. To increase system reliability, pumps and mixing valves can be cycled at predefined intervals.
