Electronic burner controls are SIL3 certified

Energy Technology & Controls

The ETC6000 series of electronic burner controls from Energy Technology & Control has been certified for inclusion in an SIL3 (safety integrity level) loop.

This range of integrated burner controllers, fuel-air controllers and ancillary equipment that includes dedicated servo motors and process sensors has been independently tested and certified to conform to the requirements of EN 61508 (2001).

ETC customers had identified that this conformity was being increasingly specified in contracts.
