Directional sound speeds up building evacuation

ExitPoint DVD

To enable specifiers, consultants and fire engineers to fully appreciate the effectiveness of its ExitPoint directional sound technology, KAC has prepared a DVD that includes actual tests and gives key technical information on the product.

Directional sound technology guides people to the nearest exit in an emergency and enables designers to increase the building’s utilisation by reducing the RSET (Required Safe Escape Time) by lowering recognition, response and travel times

Sound from these units can be located with great accuracy by people trying to escape. In tests, evacuation times have been reduced by up to 75%.
