Stokvis enjoys success with solar thermal heating

Ivan Thompson, managing director of Stokvis Energy Systems, reports a high level of interest from consultants and contractors in the Riomay solar thermal system for commercial applications which it introduced last year and which is being shown at NEMEX at the NEC from 19 to 21 May.

He says, ‘Since the launch, we have had literally hundreds of enquiries, and we have orders for new installations in both the commercial and public sectors. The fact is that even in our northern climate, solar power is a very viable option for commercial buildings, because on a sunny day, much of the UK experiences levels of solar energy equal to 60% of those at the equator!’
