Kingspan Tarec has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for pioneering a new method of manufacturing pipe insulation, which has resulted in a dramatic reduction of waste and significant increase in output. The company specified the design of a clean, innovative and highly efficient method of continuous production for its rigid phenolic pipe insulation.

Kingspan Tarec was formed in 2006 with the merger of Tarec Insulation and Kingspan Insulation’s pipe and slabstock insulation business. The award was presented to operations manager Phil Holland by the Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, William Tucker.
