High-energy plasma lighting comes to buildings

Ceravision has applied high-efficiency plasma technology to lighting for warehouses, streets and stadia. The effeminacy of the new lighting units is at least 90 lm/W, and they are available from 100 W to 5 kW. This lighting technology can be switched on and off instantly and reach full brightness in less than a minute. It also has the capability of being dimmed to 20% of full brightness, unlike HID lamps.

Because plasma light sources are smaller than HID lamps, light distribution can be much better controlled, substantially reducing the number of fittings required. Combined with like-for-like power savings, a halving of actual energy consumption is claimed.

The lighting units developed by Ceravision incorporate control technology that enables them to be controlled individually form anywhere in the world.
