Rehau improves its district-heating pipe

Rehau, districting heating, Rauthermax

Rehau has improved the insulation of its Rauthermex district-heating pipe by optimising the foam-blowing process. The new foam achieves lambda values of 0.0255 W/mK, said to be the best in class, without affecting pipework flexibility and quality.

Rauthermex PE-Xa pre-insulated pipework is available in single-pipe versions with pipe diameters from 25 to 160 mm or in double-pipe versions with diameters from 25 to 63 mm. It is used extensively in remote energy centres and full district-heating schemes.

Other benefits include longitudinal stability, so no expansion allowance is needed, and its Everloc jointing system to provide leak-free connections.

It can be used at temperatures up to 95°C and pressures up to 6 bar.
