The Briggait building in Glasgow is reborn

The pumping requirements of the redeveloped Briggait building in Glasgow’s Merchant Quay, are met by a range of Grundfos pumps. This Victorian building was home to the main fish market for nearly a hundred years, until it moved to a new location in the 1970s. Over the years, it fell into serious disrepair.

It has now been transformed into a vibrant space that will support the arts in Glasgow. Its 5500 m2 of space now integrates workspaces and studios, offices, shop units, central public space, cafe, meeting space and a heritage interpretation room.

To support the M&E requirements, Grundfos with contractor Mitie and consultant Buro Happold. The pumping requirements are met by energy-efficient Magna and TP circulators.
