Comfort cooling for the staff in a busy kitchen at a holiday park near Weymouth is provided by air conditioning specially designed to cope with the demands of kitchens supplied by Mitsubishi Electric. Features of the unit include an external casing of stainless steel that is resistant to oil and smoke and easy to clean. Andrew Air Conditioning installed the unit, which was chosen because it includes a high-performance oil mist filter. Strikes Bar & Grill on the Haven Littlesea Holiday Park serves hundred of people each day. Steve Potts, manager of the entertainment centre at the park, says, ‘The new air conditioning has made the kitchen a much cooler place to work.’ These units use R407C and are available with cooling capacities of 11.7 and 6.8 kW. They also offer heating. For ease of maintenance, the fan casing can be broken down for easy cleaning. The drain pan can be cleaned on site as the pipe connector can be quickly removed.
