Mitsubishi expands training operations

Mitsubishi Electric has opened new air-conditioning training facilities to serve Scotland and the north of England. Located in the company’s factory at Livingstone near Edinburgh, the facilities complement those at Hatfield, which have already provided guidance and education for over 2000 engineers in the last two years. Consultants and contractors receive training covering anything from the basics of air conditioning up to a detailed study of installing and maintaining any of the company’s comprehensive range of products. The company expects to train over 1500 people in the next 12 months. One of the aims of the training programme is to reduce warranty costs, which have fallen from nearly 1% in 2000/01 to only 0.43% last year
