MCS accreditation for Vent-Axia ground-source heat pumps
Vent-Axia has been accredited for the Microgeneration Certification for its Thernamic series of ground-source heat pumps by the British Board of Agrèment. They are therefore fully compliant with the technology requirements of the MCS and qualify for payments under the Renewable Heat Incentive, which requires the installer and the equipment to be MCS certified.
These heat pumps can deliver domestic hot water and space heating. The range includes single-phase units from 4 to 24 kW and 3-phase units from 4 to 30 kW. There is also a high-temperature series with outputs from 4 to 20 kW that can deliver hot water at up to 65°C, so there is no need for an immersion heating to pasteurise the hot-water cylinder.
A range of accessories is available, including manifolds, ground collectors, cylinders, buffer vessels and glycol.
A range of commercial unit is available in 3-phase from 20 to 75 kW; they can be run in cascade to provide higher system capacities.
