Call point operates smoke vents

KAC, smoke vent call point

KAC has introduced an orange-bodied version of the MCP indoor call point to provide manual activation of smoke-control management systems. Smoke vents are installed in traditional industrial buildings, large enclosed public spaces, multiple-occupancy accommodation and data centres containing high-value enterprise-critical equipment.

Smoke vents are typically activated from the fire-system control panel or from strategically located call points. For manual activation, the orange body and clear marking, as specified in EN 12101-9, enables the function of the call point to be immediately identified, including by untrained people.
