Conservatory air conditioning saves energy and space

Discreet heating and air conditioning for this conservatory with a noise level of just 26 dB(A) is provided by a Carrier XPower split system.

Space-saving heating and cooling for a conservatory recently supplied by 21st Century Conservatories is provided by a radiator-size console unit from Carrier’s XPower range. This inverter-controlled unit was designed by an award-winning Italian designer and requires only a single-phase power supply. The outdoor unit is compact and quiet and was carefully positioned to be concealed by convenient shrubbery. Units in the XPower range can be fitted with the Carrier Air-4-Life 4-stage air-purification system. Anti-bacterial, electrostatic, titanium photocatalytic and anti-bacterial fan filters remove dust and pollen particles, odours, chemical pollutants and bacteria down to 0.01 µm in size. The range provides cooling from 1.1 to 13.5 kW and heating up to 15 kW in single-split and multi-split formats up to 4:1. The refrigerant is R410A and is up to 40% more efficient than previous split systems. Noise levels are 26 dB(A) [4 dB(A) less than a quiet whisper]. Contributing to the low noise level is a DC twin rotary compressor, with two rotary compression cylinders offset from each other by 180°.
