Introducing Trend’s new building energy management controller, IQ™X and enhanced building Supervisor interface, IQ™VISION

Trend Control Systems has enhanced its intelligent building offering with the addition of IQ™X and IQ™VISION v2.4 to its portfolio of building energy management systems. The solutions are purpose-built for connected buildings, giving customers advanced data management and integration capabilities to allow the ‘building of the future’ to become a reality.

IQ™X gives users actionable insights from data, with simple and rich visualisation of the entire system, advanced connectivity, as well as IT networking and resilience. Every IQ™X controller utilises the Niagara framework, giving a consistent engineering environment, integration and analytic capabilities from the edge to management layer. The IQ™X system includes native and secure connectivity to the Honeywell Forge enterprise performance management platform, which helps building owners to better manage their buildings.

Key benefits of IQ™X include:

  • Rich data insights enable efficient buildings and optimised environments whatever the application
  • Simple and rich visualisation at all levels of the system means reduced engineering input, simplified supervision and access to data anytime, anywhere
  • Extensive connectivity to ensure building-wide integration in a robust, cybersecure environment
  • Resilient networking capability, compliant with latest IT specification and a future-proof network design

Trend also upgraded the software of its IQ™VISION Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) interface. The upgraded interface supports the IQ™X system.

IQ™VISION helps to fulfil a building owner’s goal of providing a productive, optimised and healthy building environment, whilst meeting sustainability and efficiency targets. IQ™VISION v2.4 includes several features which simplify deployment and improve productivity across the Trend system.

“The new wave of ‘smart buildings’ means that building owners are extending their requirements further than just the control of energy or environmental conditions. The control system must now support a holistic approach to occupant wellbeing, with occupant productivity key to improving bottom line performance,” said Stefano d’Agostino, Trend General Manager. “Both IQ™X and IQ™VISION v2.4 combine to offer this step change in the smart buildings industry.”
