Going Underground

ABM M&E

ABM has announced a significant contract win with Transport for London (TfL) to provide mechanical and electrical (M&E) services across the London Underground network.

The contract focuses predominantly on providing mechanical and electrical maintenance to London Underground buildings when required, such as maintaining heating and cooling systems and lighting. This marks a strategic expansion of ABM’s longstanding relationship with TfL, providing cleaning services since 2017.

The news comes as Campbell Murdoch joins the business from City FM to lead the Business & Industry division. Campbell will play a key part in delivering ABM’s ambitious growth strategy which puts an immediate focus on the rapid expansion of the technical services offering. The new M&E contract with TfL is a significant first step in delivering those growth plans.

Campbell Murdoch, Business and Industry Managing Director at ABM said: “We first began working with Transport for London in 2017 when we were awarded the contract to clean London Underground stations and trains, bus depots, head office buildings and the London Transport Museum. We have since navigated the pandemic in collaboration with TfL, employing increased hygiene measures to ensure the network remained safe for front line workers and commuters travelling during lock down and beyond.”
