Group Horizon launches Data Technician Apprenticeship

Group Horizon is now offering places on its Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship – an ideal starting point for those interested in a fulfilling career in data management and analysis.

Data technicians are found in all industry sectors where data is generated or processed but are increasingly sought after in the building controls industry. The job often entails sourcing, formatting and presenting data for analysis, communicating outcomes appropriate to an audience, analysing structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes and blending data from multiple sources. The is also a strong emphasis on good data governance and compliance.

Designed to fulfil the growing demand for data management expertise, the Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship specifically focuses on training and developing individuals to support the day-to-day data needs of a business. It is a qualification that teaches learners how to utilise a wide variety of tools and techniques to manage and analyse data, adding value both internally for the business and externally for customers.

Taking up to 24 months
to complete and combining technical training with on-the- job activities, the programme is delivered by a specialist with a wealth of experience
in the field and offers more one-to-one tutor time than many similar courses with an emphasis on contextualised learning, practical activities in the workplace with real data and tailored tutorial sessions.

As with all its courses, Group Horizon has invested heavily
in research and curriculum development to ensure that the needs of employers and the wider industry are met. This course will also allow learners to further their development within a specialism such as data analytics, with progression available onto the Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship and beyond.
