A Kent based heating company has installed its first Baxi air source heat pump (ASHP) at the home of its owner as part of its recent renewable heating diversification – with the support of Baxi.

Harvard Heating has partnered with Baxi for 13 years on boiler installations. When the owner, Bo Lindeman, decided to branch
out into low carbon heating with a new business venture, Harvard Renewables, Baxi was his first port of call for support. A few months later, the company has installed its first air source heat pump at Bo’s own 1930s semi-detached home in Belvedere.

The new system features the Baxi HP40-11-1, a monobloc ASHP known for its efficiency and ease of installation, combined with
a Baxi 210 litre ASHP cylinder. The installation was carried out by Harvard Renewables’ co-founder and co-director Bill Taylor, who has been a gas safe engineer for the past 10 years. This project was his first ASHP installation.
