PME secures £million-plus maintenance contracts

Two long-term contracts won by PME, the building-maintenance and facilities-services arm of Carillion are worth over £2.5 million. A new 2-year contract with Sony UK for the maintenance of two facilities, including its head office, is worth over £1.5 million. The other contract is worth £1 million and is with managing agent King Sturge to maintain one if its landmark sites in the City of London for three years. The Sony contract for sites at Weybridge and Basingstoke was won in competitive tender to provide planned and reactive maintenance. The King Sturge contract is for One America Square, a 14-storey building built in 1991. It comprises tenanted office and retail space let to financial and legal organisations, plus a gym and licensed premises. PME is providing planned preventive and responsive maintenance to the landlord’s areas. The on-site team consists of managers, administration workers and shift engineers.
