Buderus launches evacuated-tube solar collectors

Renewable energy, Buderus, solar thermal, DHW

Buderus has added two solar-thermal evacuated-tube collectors to its solar range. The cylindrical pipes present a much greater area to sunlight than flat-plate collectors — improving their effectiveness during Winter months.

Supplied fully assembled, SKR6 and SKR12 (six and 12 tubes, respectively) collectors have compound parabolic concentrator technology to provide 360° absorption of solar energy.

Collector panels can be attached to flow and return pipes on one side only —providing an installation that is quicker, neater and requiring less pipework for large arrays.

A large range of accessories enables these panels to be installed on pitched or flat roofs, as well as against facades.
