Helvar adds to Digidim lighting control system

The latest additions to Helvar’s Digidim system range is the 445 switch interface unit and two single-channel relay units — the 492 and 494. The 445 unit is Helvar’s most compact interface for converting third-party switches and buttons to be compatible with a Helvar lighting-control system. This unit provides four switch inputs and four LED output drivers for indicator LEDs.

The functionality of a 445 unit is configured using Helvar Toolbox or designer software. Units are powered directly from the DALI network.

The 492 relay unit (pictured) controls non-DALI, non-dimmable loads. It can be installed in a luminaire, electrical cabinet or used as an inline unit. It can switch 16 A and has a high inrush specification. It also forms a DALI relay node that can be programmed using Helvar software.

The 493 signal relay unit provides simple control interfacing with third-party equipment. It can be mounted in an equipment enclosure, electrical cabinet or used as an inline unit to provide a low-voltage volt-free contact to other systems. Contact rating is up to 60 V (AC or DC) at 0.5 A.
