Ener-G expands in USA

Ener-G has boosted its presence in the US CHP market by taking a 75% holding in Rudox, a co-generation business based in New Jersey. The existing owners, the Goodman family, will retain a 25% share in the new company. The two companies have a combined turnover approaching £130 million and a global portfolio of 603 MW of operational co-generation systems.
Having entered the US market in 2011, Ener-G has recently commissioned a 2454 MWh plant to provide cooling, heat and power (CCHP) at St Peter’s University in New Jersey (pictured). This is part of a £4 million energy-services contract, funded mainly by Ener-G and involving a strategic upgrade of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning infrastructure, the installation of a solar PV system and new building energy management technology.
