Retrofit energy meters

Carlo Gavazzi, retrofit energy meter

Carlo Gavazzi has added a new version to its popular family of EM21 3-phase energy meters. The EM21-72V compact energy meter is specifically designed for retrofit applications. Current can be measured using the external split-core current sensor which, when fitted, restricts the voltage to the meter to 0.333 V, making it a favourable solution for the installer.

These meters can be mounted on a DIN rail just four modules wide. The 72 mm-square display can be detached for mounting on a panel.

The current transformers are available in five ranges from 60 to 800 A.

Output data can be Modbus and pulse or pulse only to provide data to PCs and PLCs for full load control. All electrical parameters can be sent via an optional RS-485 port for integration with a BMS and other standard acquisition-monitoring systems.
