Siemens room controllers are based on KNX
Siemens Building Technologies’ QMX range of controls is based on KNX technology and includes communicating sensors, switches and room operator units. The range is described as bringing new intelligence to room controls, enabling total room automation in a flexible and affordable technology. It can merge lighting, shading and HVAC controls, creating long-term energy efficiency and reducing time and cost for installation, engineering and commissioning.
The QXM3 works alongside Siemens’ Desigo building-automation system to bring total room automation based on the principle of demand control. For example, using QXM3 in meeting rooms will ensure that heating, lighting and ventilation are only provided when they are required by occupants.
The QXM3 range offers room-temperature, CO2 and humidity measurement, was well as the ability to control lights, blinds and lighting scenes.
