Energy meters are quick to install

Carlo Gavazzi’s EM270 energy meter can be installed five to 10 times more quickly than other energy meters and associated current transformers. A single meter can measure all electrical variables and energy of two independent 3-phase loads or six independent single-phase loads via its two RJ11 inputs.

Detachable dual-voltage terminal blocks allow up to 20 meters to be daisy chained. The RS485 port provides a daisy-chain solution to any serial bus.

Available as Modbus+2xpulse or Modbus+Modbus versions, these meters provide fast and easy data transmission to PCs and PLCs for full load control. All electrical parameters of the installation can be sent via an optional RS485 port for integration with a BMS or other standard acquisition-monitoring systems.

A choice of systems can be programmed for active and reactive energy measurement and a selection of 3-phase or single-phase loads. Options include system variables such as W, var, power factor, Hz and phase sequence. Single-phase variables include A, VLL, VLN and power factor. TRMS measurements cope with distorted sine waves and energy measurements (total KWh and reactive kVAh) for one or two 3-phase loads or up to six single-phase loads.

These meters are rated equivalent to Class 1 (kWh) according to EN 62053-21.
