Powrmatic warms Ironworks Centre
A Powrmatic warm-air heating system is helping the British Ironworks Centre maintain comfortable temperatures for visitors and protect exhibits from condensation. This tourism centre in Shropshire houses a varied collection of large and small metal works for home and garden, as well as a museum.
Managing director Clive Knowles said, ‘We chose a Powrmatic heater as we already have one of their heaters at our Black Country Metalworks site, so we have around 30 years’ experience of the quality, reliability and longevity of the brand.’
The heater serves the museum and two galleries. It is controlled by a timer and central thermostat. Two Powrmatic destratification fans were also installed. Powrmatic also supplied a Midea Luna high-wall-mounted heat pump for the office.
The CPx warm-air heater was supplied with a special paint finish to blend in with the centre’s decor. However, there are plans to repaint it in the colours of the Union Flag to reflect its British theme.
The heater was installed by Smith’s Heating (Wales).
