Adcock wins award

Adcock

Adcock Refrigeration & Air Conditioning has won the Family Business of the Year Award 2016 for East and East Anglia. The company was founded in 1964, and the judges were impressed with the long-term view that Adcock has taken since its inception, its response to changing market conditions, strong family values and dedication to the people in the business — many with long service and other benefitting from the in-house training academy too.

These awards are organised by the magazine Family Business United and are in their fourth year. They recognise the diversity, strength and depth of family firms across the UK and seek to highlight the contribution that family firms make to the UK economy.

Phillip Prior, chairman of Adcock (pictured right receiving the award from Paul Andrews of Family Business Unit) , said, ‘We are both delighted and proud to have won this prestigious award, especially as we were up against a number of household names in our area. Family businesses are the backbone of the UK economy, and Family Business United should also be congratulated on the work they do to support this vital sector.’
