Vent-Axia completes its range of MVHR units

Vent-Axia, ventilation, heat recovery, MVHR

The introduction by Vent-Axia of the Sentinel Kinetic F mechanical ventilation unit with heat recovery enables the company to offer a full range of MVHR solutions to meet all applications — from one-bedroom apartments to light-commercial projects such as student accommodation. The airflow range covered is from 15 to 200 l/s.

The Sentinel Kinetic F is in the middle of the airflow range. it features the latest design of high-efficiency backward-curved impeller design to provide higher flow and pressure.

The integral heat exchanger recovers nearly 90% of the heat from the exhaust airstream.

The integral humidity sensor changes speed in proportion to RH, saving energy and reducing cost.

The sensor reacts to small but rapid increases in humidity, even if the normal trigger threshold is not reached. This feature ensures adequate ventilation, even in the smallest wet room.

The night-time RH setback suppresses nuisance tripping as humidity gradually increases with falling temperature.

There are multiple plug-and-play control options and BMS connectivity. Sensor inputs allow boosting from a full range of Vent-Axia controllers — including humidistats, Vent-Wise and timers, as well as a wireless remote. Switched live is available for boosting via light switches. A ‘delay-on’ feature prevents the unit boosting unnecessarily, and a ‘delay-off’ timer ensures effective moisture removal.

These units have BMS capability so that landlords or property managers can monitor and optimise building performance and maintenance.

The Kinetic BMS can provide status information and self-diagnosis for simplified fault finding.
