Crabtree has an Instinct for wiring accessories

Crabtree, Electrium, wiring accessories

Crabtree’s Instinct range of wiring accessories contains over 300 products — including sockets, fused connection units and data outlets. Named for its intuitive design and clever new features, the range includes full-contact cable clamps that improve cable retention and reduce deformation. LED indicators are integrated into the rocker switch, which retains plate strength and improves aesthetics.

Jim Hutchinson, national sales manager with Crabtree says, ‘Instinct is the product of two years and thousands of hours of development and engineering. It’s been something of an obsession for us.

‘The accessories offer big benefits to specifiers, designers and installers, and we are already seeing a lot of interest from across the commercial building sector.’

Other new features include upward-facing inline terminals, a connection layout that is easy to use and which improves installation times because there is no need to rotate or twist the accessory — making for a more reliable connection method.

Instinct socket outlets conform to the highest British Safety standards — and more— because they contain multi-pin safety shutters that prevent access to the power supply unless using a BS1363 plug top.

Design features include slimline plates with soft curves, smooth lines and contoured profiles, described by Jim Hutchinson as ‘details that look great and fit naturally into any environment’.
