Hoval demonstrates its fitness for new JJB Fitness Clubs

Hoval boiler
Meeting the requirements of around 15 new JJB Fitness Clubs opening each year are Hoval SR combination boilers.
Hoval SR combination boilers have been specified by consulting engineers Hannan & Associates for the rapidly expanding network of JJB Fitness Clubs. They are serving central air-handling plant, DHW systems and swimming pools and spas. JJB Fitness Clubs have been described as ‘the greatest success story of the last decade’, and around 15 new clubs are being opened each year. Each club has two Hoval SR-plus Combination boiler packages that include CT-Plus calorifiers to provide instant hot water to showers and other DHW requirements. The compact package also incorporates a primary circulating pump and controls for the temperature of DHW. The small footprint of the SR-Plus Combination package enables the plant to be installed in a relatively small space. The two boilers are energised to run on demand in a lead-lag configuration. The lead boiler meets the 24-hour heating demands of the swimming pool, while the lag boiler is brought in at times of peak demand for hot water. The lead and lag times of the two boilers are alternated to even out running time.
