Armstrong extends variable-speed booster-set range

Armstrong, variable speed pump, booster set

Armstrong has added larger-capacity models to its 6800 IVS range of variable-speed booster sets. All new models incorporate the soft-fill feature, an automated process that reduces the risk of hydraulic shock damage and water hammer by increasing the pump speed gradually to a fill setpoint.

The extended range offers booster sets up to 25 bar and variable speed above 7.5 kW. The maximum motor size if 45 kW, but there is a choice of two to five pumps for each set.

Pumps are mounted on a stainless steel base-frame, complete with stainless-steel headers. These sets are pre-assembled and tested off site.

A major advantage of the new range is that intelligence for variable-speed pumping is built in and set at the factory to suit the building demands.
