Dimplex completes its renewable-energy range of hot-water cylinders

Dimplex, renewable energy, Solar thermal, DHW

The launch by Dimplex of the EC Eau range of unvented water cylinders for heat pumps and solar-thermal enables the company to offer a complete solution for water heating using renewable energy. The range is made from 60% recycled materials and delivers mains-pressure hot water. A key design feature is the corrugated surface on the heat exchangers to maximise surface area and maintain a high usable volume of water.

The outer black shell covers 60 mm of injected foam insulation. Heat loss is further reduced by the immersion heater and thermostat housing being recessed.

The heat-pump cylinder has coils with large surface areas and capacities from 125 to 300 l.

The solar-thermal range comes in sizes from 175 to 300 l. All sizes come with a choice of one or two coils. An immersion heater provides back-up and sterilising capability.

The EC-Eau range also includes direct and indirect unvented cylinders. They have 60 mm of foam insulation and are supplied with an expansion vessel and all necessary safety equipment. All models have an external diameter of 580 mm. Capacities range from 100 to 300 l.

The inner vessel is of premium-grade duplex stainless steel and has a 25-year guarantee.
