PIR presence sensors are easy to install

PIR, lighting, Timeguard, building management systems, controls

High-performance, recessed ceiling-mounted PIR presence detectors from Timeguard are designed to be easy to fit, easy to set up and easy to adjust. The procedure is to connect the wiring box, slip it through the ceiling aperture and plug in the RJ11 connector before spring clipping into the ceiling. Up to five slave connectors can be controlled from a single master, with an overall capacity of 240 W of LED or fluorescent lighting and 2.3 kW of halogen.

Access to the controls of these detectors is achieved by twisting it so the inner cylinder drops down to reveal the controls for light level (10 to 2000 lx) and time (30 s to 30 min).

These detectors have a diameter of 47 mm and an 8 m detection field. They have a low profile and a suitable for small ceiling voids.

Standalone single detectors with accessible controls are also available.
