Ellis Patents invests to grow

Ellis Patents, Electrical services, cable cleats

Ellis Patents, which makes cable cleats, has invested £100 000 in two new pieces of machinery that will enable it to expand the scope of its business.

£45 000 has been invested in a manufacturing cell consisting of a decoiler, Hare hydraulic press, welder and assembly machinery for its new FlexiStrap short-circuit strap.

A further £55 000 has been spent on a Kraus Maffei moulding machine to produce new pipe clips as part of a recently expanded exclusive supplier deal with a leading trade-counter operator.

Managing director Richard Shaw says, ‘This latest investment enables us to secure a sizeable chunk of new business and fill a gap in our product offering. Both machines will have paid for themselves within six months.’
