Wieland helps upgrade London office building

Wieland, structured wiring, Metalynx

Wieland Electric’s Metalynx2 structured wiring and Gesis plug-and-play system made short work of the connection of power and light throughout the refurbishment of Lacon London, an 8-story commercial building in the Holborn area of London. The Wieland system also resulted in no waste on site.

The building is now owned by global investment company Blackstone and has undergone a complete upgrade.

Imtech UK specified the Metalynx2 armoured cabling system to feed the lighting and power cabling system on all eight floors, to combine lighting and power master distribution boxes and feed lighting-control modules and fan-coil units.

All Wieland products were supplied as a plug-and-play system, pre-wired and pre-tested.

Wieland Gesis 6-pole connectors were used on the CP lighting-control modules to feed power and control signals to the luminaires.
